WHY IT COUNTERS NECROPHOS
Nether Ward punishes his spells
Nether Ward makes Death Pulse hurt Necrophos instead of healing him, and the huge mana cost of Reaper's Scythe near the ward can often kill him.
Burst damage
Nether Blast and Life Drain make quick work of Necrophos' small health pool, especially during Ghost Shroud.
Forces Scythe early
Life Drain makes Pugna a poor Reaper's Scythe target and often forces Necrophos to use it defensively, his only way to break the channel.
